This position will work in our Packaging Systems Division in coordination with our customer service representatives and our dunnage engineers. The work will include the development of new costing sheets and the automation of the costing process in a way that will streamline the current process and reduce the opportunities for human error.

Responsibilities

  • Develop dunnage quotations using Excel.
  • Create individual component cost for each piece of custom dunnage.
  • Convert raw material sheet into efficient pad sizes based on tooling layouts.
  • Determine labor estimates used in the design and methods of component assembly
  • Write a description of a fully developed packaging design.

 

Qualifications

  • Some college
  • Aptitude to understand how tooling affects overall project cost and final piece price.
  • Ability to understand formulas used to convert pads and raw materials into final packaging components
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent math skills
  • Intermediate to high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
