Overview

The role of the Reseller Sales Manager is to cultivate leads generated for WMS (Warehouse Management Software) and IT software by resellers in a specific district and generate sales of the SSI-Schaefer software suite.  The individual needs to be able to manage and interface with multiple accounts simultaneously and act as the liaison between the customer and the IT consultant. The work involves extensive phone calls, computer work, travel by car, air travel, and frequent international travel in order to stay in touch with existing accounts, pursue new accounts, make sales presentations, and stay fully informed of latest technology.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to identify potential need for customer, where the customer may not recognize the need, and explain benefits of WMS software
  • Makes and receives frequent telephone calls to communicate and arrange meetings with resellers and sales leads.
  • Demonstrates deep working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Warehouse Controls System (WCS) software and the capabilities and delineations of the different systems.
  • Ability to develop a business case for the solution and demonstrate value
  • Demonstrate to customer the value and capability of the SSI WMS/WCS systems.
  • Develop effective, tactical sales plan to win orders.
  • Strives to achieve the sales objectives and goals as determined by the Company.
  • Attends regular sales meetings and trainings in the U.S and in Europe.
  • May travel internationally for training and customer visits
    • Travel approximately 20-50%

Qualifications

  • IT/Software Sales Experience
  • Logistics/Supply Chain Knowledge/Training
