    Detail oriented shop supervisor who can oversee all of our daily production for a new start up sewing operation within a global corporate environment. This is a hands-on, working supervisor job, not a desk job. In this job, you will spend 100% of your time on the shop floor coordinating all of the functions of production and product manipulation within the assigned department. This position will be responsible to help get the operation up and running and train additional sewing operators. All duties performed are within a production-based environment.

    Essential Functions:

    • Act as lead sewer overseeing all aspects of production
    • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process, study methods working closely with Design Engineers; implement cost reductions
    • Supervision of a small group of production operators
    • Operating Production Machines
    • Raw Materials management
    • Medium Duty Sewing Machine Maintenance and machine setups
    • Weekly and Monthly Inventory Control Counts
    • Create weekly production schedule
    • Quality Control inspections
    • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
    • Responsible for sewing samples and first articles
    • Must be able to sew on non-automated machines and train on them


    Qualification Requirements:

    • High School Diploma required; college or technical degree preferred
    • 3- 5 years direct sewing experience
    • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
    • Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish both written and oral preferred
    • Fully computer literate - word, excel, and similar programs
    • Mechanically inclined - able to troubleshoot and fix manufacturing equipment
    • Highly Detailed Oriented
    • Highly Dependable
    • Friendly and able to easily get along with others
