Ensure that customer shipments all depart the facility in a timely manner, are arranged per the customer needs / specifications and are shipped at the most cost-effective price

Essential Functions:

• Initiate the timely and cost-effective transportation
• Efficiently coordinate dock appointments for up to 10 truckloads per day
• Maintain a sufficient inventory of manufacturing consumables suck as pallets, stretch wrap staples, etc.
• Maintain an accurate accounting of deliveries
• Evaluate carrier effectiveness in service quality, rates and overall performance
• Perform intercompany billing transactions
• Prepare shipping packages-Bill of lading, packing list, any special instructions
• Communicate with customers as necessary for customer arranged or collect shipments
• Maintain tracking spread sheets as necessary or requested for orders
• Ship DHL/FedEx/UPS domestic and international packages as requested
• Verify price and accuracy for all incoming freight bills, approve and sign for payment
• Prepares and maintains company Powers of Attorney.

Qualification Requirements:

• Domestic freight experience.
• Overland freight experience including rate negotiations.
• Assertive personality for freight negotiations and problem resolution.
• Team attitude for communications and flexibility.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Intermediate to high level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent good judgment.
• Preferrably 2-3 years of international experience
